UC Davis School of Law’s Pre-Law Boot Camp (PLBC) consists of a series of workshops during the spring 2012 semester that are designed to assist high potential junior and senior students at any four-year college with their undergraduate performance and preparation for admission to law school. (See attached flyer)

Deadline to apply is January 5, 2012.

At no cost, participants attend and/or receive:

  • Workshops on pre-law preparation and law school admission.
  • Presentations/panels by law school professionals, professors, attorneys and/or current law students.
  • Individual pre-law advising including their own pre-law action plan.
  • Critiqued writing assignments that help develop personal statements, résumés, and improve overall writing skills.
  • General LSAT preparation.

Program Dates

Attendance is mandatory at ALL sessions.

  • Session One:     February 4, 2012
  • Session Two:     February 11, 2012
  • Session Three:  March 3, 2012
  • Session Four:    March 24, 2012

Eligibility

  • Be a first-generation college students OR come from an economically disadvantaged background
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (calculated on a 4.33 scale)
  • Be a current junior or senior in good standing
    (Sophomores are highly encouraged to apply to the King Hall Outreach Program.)
  • Intend to go to law school, but not currently in the process of applying for Fall 2012 law school enrollment
