I want to make sure that CCC Counselors are aware of the announcement that was posted on CSUMentor on 5/19 regarding the Winter 2012 Admission Cycle. I am sorry for the late advisory.
SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING THE WINTER 2012 ADMISSION APPLICATION PROCESS
The initial application-filing period of admission for the Winter 2012 term begins on June 1, 2011. However, because the California Governor and the Legislature have not yet adopted a final budget, the California State University (CSU) does not know how many students it can admit. While each campus will process your application conditionally, no offer of admission will be sent until the CSU knows more about the budget, including funding to support an increase in CSU's enrollment.
Once a budget is adopted, each CSU campus to which you apply will notify you about your options: 1) if the budget provides funding to increase CSU enrollment, each campus will finalize its review of your admission eligibility for the Winter 2012 term; and 2) if the budget does not provide additional funding to increase CSU's enrollment, you will have the option either of (a) requesting that your admission application be changed from Winter 2012 to the Fall 2012 term, or (b) requesting that your admission application be withdrawn and the application fee be refunded.
