Opportunities for Community College Engineering
Transfer Students–Half-Day Workshop


The College of Engineering at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is offering Electrical and Mechanical Engineering degree completion programs in the Antelope Valley. These programs are a shared commitment between CSULB, industry, government partners, and community colleges in the greater Antelope Valley. The information provided at this workshop will aid you when advising students considering an engineering degree as a means to a viable and exciting profession.

Workshop Topics Include:
• Information on both engineering degree completion programs’ curriculum
• The programs’ unprecedented access to industry professionals, real-world engineering projects, and internships with local companies
• A brief tour of the Lancaster University Center facilities
• Application and admission process information
• The critical role community colleges play in creating an academic path for interested engineering students to complete their degree
• Academic advising tools and support

Who Should Attend?
Counselors and educators who actively work with and influence the academic and career decisions of students
