Dear Colleagues and Friends:

California State University, East Bay is pleased to announce that we are still accepting applications from upper-division transfer students for Winter and Spring Quarters 2012, for select majors. Please encourage students to submit an application by the deadlines provided below.

Students planning to apply to Cal State East Bay for the Winter or Spring Quarters 2012 must submit an application through CSU Mentor by the deadline specified below. To view a full list of the select open majors, visit CSU Mentor. To view our application and document deadlines for 2011-2012, please visit www.csueastbay.edu/deadlines. Also, current and former members of the military are given admission priority. If you have a member of the military who is interested in applying after the deadline, students should contact wendy.herbert@csueastbay.edu for special application instructions.

Cal State East Bay Application & Document Deadlines Winter Quarter 2012 Spring Quarter 2012
Application Deadline September 30, 2011 November 30, 2011
Partial Document Deadline (with in-progress coursework) September 23, 2011* February 15, 2012
Final Document Deadline January 20, 2012 April 14, 2012
Classes Begin January 9, 2012 April 2, 2012
*Students will receive a 2-week grace period to submit their partial documents, at the point of submitting their Winter application.

To apply for admission to Cal State East Bay, students must complete the following items.
• Submit an application through CSU Mentor at www.csumentor.edu and pay the $55 non-refundable application fee.
• Request official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended to be sent to Cal State East Bay. Transcripts may be mailed directly by the college or university or hand-carried in an original sealed envelope to Cal State East Bay's Enrollment Information Center in the Student Services & Administration Building on the Hayward Campus, or to the Academic Services Center on the Concord Campus.
• Upper-division transfer applicants must have 60 transferable semester units (90 transferable quarter units) and the four basic skills courses completed by the beginning of the term prior to enrollment. (For example, Winter Quarter applicants must complete these items by the end of the Summer term; Spring Quarter applicants must complete these items by the end of the Fall term. The basic skills courses can be found at: www.csueastbay.edu/admission.
