UPPER DIVISION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: The following information for Upper Division Admission Requirements was extracted from the new 2012/13 CSU Campus Admission Specific Practices and Enrollment Resources Handbook. Admission & Registration Status Prior to Receipt of ALL Official Transcripts (Page 6):
- Will auto-admit based on self-reported courses. Cannot attend orientation or register for classes until all transcripts received.
Completion Dates for Upper Division Transfers in Communication in the English Language & Quantitative Reasoning (Page 10):
- Fall 2012-complete by end of spring 2012.
- Spring 2013-complete by end of summer 2012.
Grades in Repeated Courses Taken From Different Colleges for Transfer (Page 9):
Will discount grades if course repeated.
High Unit Majors with Authorized Exceptions to Admission & GE Breadth Requirements-Transfer Students (Page 11):
Environmental Resources Engineering.  This major does not require completion of A3 before transfer.
Orientation (Pages 3):
- Transfer students are required to attend online orientation.
- There is not orientation fee.
Registration Priorities for Upper Division Transfers (Page 12):
- Registration order occurs immediately following priority registration.
- Registration grouping occurs upon completion of online orientation which includes priority registration as part of the orientation programs.
Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) and Enrollment Deposit (Page 2):
- The SIR deadline is May 1.
- Humboldt State does not require an enrollment deposit.
Transfer Certification & Double-Counting of Courses for Major Requirements (Page 8):
- Humboldt State will certify GE areas and double count major/GE.
- Humboldt State will allow fully or partially certified transfer applicants to double count courses towards (1) the American Institutions Requirement, and (2) GE Certification (either GE Breadth or IGETC).
- Humboldt will accept a DD-214 for elective units for all students and to clear Area E for GE-certified transfer students.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diversity and Common Grounds requirements (DCG) This may be taken before transferring.
  • Undergraduates must complete at least two DCG courses; one of these courses must be designated domestic (US focus), while the other may either be domestic or international/transnational in focus. Students may meet the DCG requirement with courses that simultaneously meet other requirements (GE, major/minor, US Institutions, or electives).
  • General Education - one American Institutions course can count for GE Area D.
