◊ UPPER DIVISION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: The following information for Upper Division Admission Requirements was extracted from the new 2012/13 CSU Campus Admission Specific Practices and Enrollment Resources Handbook. Admission & Registration Status Prior to Receipt of ALL Official Transcripts (Page 6):
- CSUDH Will issue "conditional admission" based on self-reported work-in-progress and partial records. Must submit official transcripts in order to verify conditional admission eligibility.
- Official final transcripts reflecting all coursework must be received by July 15. The campus reserves the right to cancel admission for failure to submit the documents by the posted deadlines.
- No summer coursework is accepted for fall selection.
Completion Dates for Upper Division Transfers in Communication in the English Language & Quantitative Reasoning (Page 10):
- Fall 2012-complete by end of spring 2012.
- Spring 2013-complete by end of summer 2012.
Grades in Repeated Courses Taken From Different Colleges for Transfer (Page 9):
All grades are averaged into the grade point average unless discounted on the transcript. If there is no notation on the transcript, and the grade on the first attempt was less than “C,” the grades will be averaged. If there is no notation on the transcript and the grade on the first attempt was “C” or better, the second attempt will not be included in the grade point average.

Orientation(Pages 3):
- The orientation fee of $55.00 ($15-each guest) is refundable IF CSUDH is notified at least 48 hours prior to the confirmed NSO date.
- Orientation fees are subject to change without notice.

Registration Priorities for Upper Division Transfers (Page 12):
- Registration order occurs after continuing students.
- Registration grouping occurs by number of units completed.
Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) and Enrollment Deposit (Page 2):
The SIR deadline is May 1 (within 2 weeks if admitted after May 1).
- CSUDH does not require enrollment deposit.
Transfer Certification & Double-Counting of Courses for Major Requirements (Page 8):
- Double counting is permitted in some majors.
- CSUDH will allow fully or partially certified transfer applicants to double count courses towards (1) the American Institutions Requirement, and
(2) GE Certification (either GE Breadth or IGETC).
- CSUDH will accept a DD-214 for elective units for all students and to clear Area E for GE-certified transfer students.
Transfer Credit Summary (Page 13):
Upon receipt of all required transcripts, verification of conditional admission, and submission of the “Student Intent to Register.”
Transfer Students With Learning Disabilities-Completion of Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning Requirements for Admission & GE Breadth
(Page 14): Consideration is given after a recommendation from the Director of Services to Students with Disabilities and a personal interview with the Director of Academic Advising.
□ GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- There is an additional English course required for graduation unless a student is certified in Area A.
- There is a Multicultural/Ethnic Studies requirement for graduation, but the course must be upper division and it cannot be taken prior to transfer.
