1. CIAC Conference. . . The annual CIAC conference, “Articulation in the 21st Century”, is scheduled to be held on April 26 and 27, 2012. Accommodations may be limited, so don’t hesitate in booking your room at the Anaheim Sheraton Park Hotel to ensure the conference room rate and a room at the conference hotel. 2. THE 2012 ON COURSE NATIONAL CONFERENCE A Festival for Learner-Centered Educators.

    This conference offers a great opportunity to share your "best practices," from instructional and counseling strategies to campus-wide programs that increase student academic success and retention. 3. 2012 STEMtech Conference, hosted by Johnson County Community College and Metropolitan Community College now announcing Calls for Proposal. Proposals are being accepted now through April 23, 2012.

 Past CCC Conference Materials
 

1. Fall 2011 New CCC Transfer Center Director Training. Is now closed.
   Registration for the 2011 new Transfer Center Director Training is now closed.  If you are a new transfer center director who did not have a chance to attend training please contact Bob Quinn at the CCC Chancellor’s Office bquinn@cccco.edu .  Training is held once per year, with the next training tentatively planned for December 2012. For more information please contact Bob Quinn.

2. The Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC) and CollegeWeekLive teamed up to host a WACAC Transfer Day.
   Tuesday September 27,2011. Topics at the conference included . . .
   - Live chat with admissions reps from California and Nevada colleges, as well as outside the region– show your interest!
   - What campus life is like via student video webcasts from favorite schools
   - Live chat with Financial Aid officers about scholarships, aid, etc
   - Downloading application documents
   
   

3. STEMtech Conference . . . Where the Rubber Meets the Road! Educators, industry leaders, and others gathered to discuss increasing student success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors and careers, and explored the strategic use of information technology to better serve their students, campuses, and communities. 1. Best Practices for Serving Student Veterans - One Day Conference on best practices for serving student veteran's on college campuses was held in September, 2011 in San Francisco, CA. This conference was ideal for administrators, veterans services staff, counselors, faculty, and disabled student service staff. This conference addresses questions such as:
   - How do PTSD and TBI affect learning?- How do you interpret and understand VA documentation of disability, and what are some
     of  the latest assistive technologies to help Wounded Warriors?
   - How can your school attract student veterans and help them achieve their educational goals?
   - What external services and resources are available to help student veterans and how can your school partner with the VA or the
     Vet Center to offer counseling services on campus to student veterans?
   - What services have been tried, what has worked, and what has not worked as well? What can we learn from the experience of
     others with well established veterans programs such as Sierra College, San Diego State University and Sacramento State
     University?
